What is the Faculty Against Antisemitism Movement (FAAM)?

FAAM provides concerned faculty with opportunities to address antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Israel activity on campus and in the U.S. academy. FAAM is a project of the Academic Engagement Network, a national organization of 1,000+ faculty on 300+ campuses committed to advancing Jewish inclusion and academic freedom.

Who can be part of FAAM?

Any faculty member with an appointment at an accredited university or college in the United States who agrees with our core principles can represent FAAM on campus, in academic associations, and other academic arenas.

Why is FAAM launching now?

We have to light a fire under administrators to ensure a better academic year ahead. And that means having the right conversations — right now. By doing so, we can provide students with the support they need and deserve as they wrap up a difficult academic year. And we can ensure that the necessary action plans will be in place by fall 2024.

What can I do to support students?

Step 1: Sign up to get a materials box, filled with FAAM-branded items that you can wear and display in your office and around campus.

Step 2: Participate in #KeepTheLightOn, a campaign to support Jewish, Zionist, and Israeli students on campus.
